TANZANIAN FOREIGN MINISTER WELCOMES ANGOLA’S NEW ENVOY



​The Minister of Foreign Affairs and East Africang Cooperation, Hon. Ambassador Mahmoud Thabit Kombo, today received the Copies of the Credentials from the Ambassador Designate of the Republic of Angola, Hon. Domingos de Almeida da Silva Coelho, during a ceremony held at the Ministry’s sub-offices in Dar es Salaam.

​Speaking after receiving the credentials, Ambassador Kombo congratulated Hon. Domingos de Almeida da Silva Coelho on his appointment to represent Angola and assured him of the full cooperation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation and the government as a whole throughout his tenure in Tanzania.





​Hon. Kombo noted that Tanzania and Angola have maintained a long history of diplomatic and friendly cooperation since Angola gained its independence in 1975. He highlighted that the two nations are currently collaborating across various sectors, including trade and investment, oil and gas, health, defense, mining, aquaculture, maritime transport, tourism, railway infrastructure, and the Blue Economy.




​For his part, Hon. Domingos de Almeida da Silva Coelho thanked the Government of Tanzania for the brotherly and friendly cooperation and pledged to advance the partnership by exploring new opportunities for furtcollaboration.
