AMBASSADOR NAIMI AZIZ REPRESENTS TANZANIA AT IAEA LAUNCH OF MODERN NUCLEAR SCIENCE HUB IN SEIBERSDORF

 

IAEA inaugurates newly constructed Nuclear Application Facilities in Seibersdorf, Austria

The Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the United Republic of Tanzania in Vienna, H.E. Naimi S.H. Aziz joined the IAEA Member States and Secretariat to the inauguration ceremony of the newly constructed Nuclear Application Facilities in Seibersdorf that was held on October 7, 2025 in Seibersdorf. The new state-of-the-art Centre brings the IAEA’s work to life, and shows how nuclear science helps tackle global challenges — from health to food and agriculture, to protecting oceans and water.


The Centre brings the Agency’s mission of Atoms for Peace and Development to life for the public. This new milestone highlights how nuclear technology drives progress in energy, medicine, food security, and industry, as well as the Agency’s role in reducing the risk of nuclear weapons proliferation.
